Thus to them you are a creature that has moved in to take away their bonuses and commissions.
Because you operate in a competitive free market it is impossible for you to have any effect on them at all. The only power you have is to serve customers by giving them what they want at a quality and price they can afford. It is impossible for you to take anything that is not due to you.
As sales people (rather than business owners) all the time they put in worrying about you will distract them from serving their customers. Any drop in their sales they will attribute to your evil plan to get them, rather than their failures with their customers.
Notice how they talk about 'upping their game'. It's all about them, customers are just a tool to make money.
