So I managed to pull myself together last month and finish on a respectable figure! Had to wait until the very last minute but things happened (as they tend too) and I’m altogether happy with what I have achieved!
So, in short, the gallery is ticking along! Now, it’s been two months in the new location and both months I’ve made it to my break even and then taken a few thousand pounds extra! That’s right! Profit baby! So as you can imagine I’m dead pleased... Its not actually a great amount of profit but considering I opened the doors in the new location with no money... No back up fund, No back up plan or anything like that I’m quietly happy. I would like to be making a fortune but if I can hold my head above water now just imagine what it will be like in the good times!
I was talking about this the other day and I really believe the only reason I’m not sinking and this could change quickly as business (especially retail) can change very quickly, but (A) I have great art on the wall! Obviously I’m bias but I generally believe in what I sell which I guess is half the battle and (B) I’m just trying to be as positive as possible! The new location has infinitely better footfall than Hockley but still there are days when no one comes in so I’m just keeping busy and positive at every second in the day! Positive things happen to positive people right??

Well done on your performance in November, I know that you have worked very hard to achieve these figures from your start up..
Maintaining a Positive Attitude is the key to long lasting success..
