The final blog...

Before writing my final blog for inafishbowl I decided to look back and see what I was doing at the start of July. Six months ago we were about to release version 1.0 of the web site and was looking for office equipment. Today, we’ve been fully up and running for 3 months, have the first invoices under our belts and have plenty of proposals out with possible customers.

It’s in my nature to always want things quicker, but generally I’m reasonably happy where we are - particularly, as I tell myself in a very harsh economic climate, where people are reluctant to commit.

Going into next year objectives are as follows:

  • To monetise the investment we’ve made in the business this year which means a full focus on opening new prospects and closing the opportunities we’ve developed over the last few months
  • To build and maintain a reputation for excellence to increase our referral network
  • To cover our running costs, via a couple of big orders, so that worry is removed and the focus is all on growing the business and using the cash to invest in the company and brand
  • To draw a regular salary from June 1st

If we can achieve these objectives during 2012 then I feel it will be a good year. So I’m now signing off from inafishbowl - if you still want to follows our fortunes feel free to do so on twitter @myjobsplace.
